Baba Sivananda Passes Away – Padma Shri Baba Sivananda Maharaj, a resident of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has passed away. He died on Saturday, May 3, while undergoing treatment at Sir Sundar Lal Hospital in Varanasi. Baba Sivananda is said to be 129 years old, and he was a resident of Kabir Shahi in Varanasi. He was known across the country for his long life through his yoga and daily lifestyle. Baba Sivananda Maharaj was honored with the Padma Shri in 2022 by the then President Ram Nath Kovind. The video of him accepting the Padma Shri award went viral on social media.

According to information received from the family of Baba Sivananda, known for his long life and yoga, he died on May 3 while undergoing treatment at Sir Sundar Das Hospital of Banaras Hindu University. Baba Sivananda, a resident of Bengal, was born in 1896. He started practicing yoga at a very young age. It is said that he lived a long life due to a balanced diet and a disciplined routine, and not only that, despite being over 125 years old, he would wake up at Brahma Muhurta and do yoga regularly. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2022. A video of him performing yoga at Rashtrapati Bhavan and greeting dignitaries present in the hall, including the Prime Minister, went viral on social media. Everyone present was amazed to see him so energetic and healthy at this stage of his age.
