Australia PM Election Result – Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s Labor Party has won the parliamentary election. Albanese is set to become Australia’s Prime Minister for the second consecutive term. This is the first time in 21 years that an Australian leader has won two consecutive terms. Smaller parties and independents that are not in coalition are expected to win 13 seats. Opposition leader Peter Dutton conceded defeat on Saturday evening. “We were not able to campaign well. So I take responsibility for the defeat,” Dutton said. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Albanese on his second term as Prime Minister on social media. The Australian people have confidence in his leadership.
Modi expressed his keenness to work with him to further strengthen India-Australia relations and promote peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
