Air India, IndiGo Cancel Flights To 7 Cities Till May 13
Jammu-Amritsar Flights Cancelled, Air India Gives This New Update: Air India has cancelled flight services to 8 destinations in the country on Tuesday. The company has issued a guideline in this regard. The destinations where services have been suspended are Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot.
Similarly, IndiGo has also suspended flight services to six destinations on Tuesday. These destinations are Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot. Both companies have said that the flight services have been cancelled in the interest of the safety of the citizens. No flights will be operated from these destinations, or flights will be operated to these destinations.
Air India And Indigo cancelled flights To 7 Cities
The country’s private airline company, IndiGo, has issued an advisory for passengers in this regard. In a post on X, it said, “Flights to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot have been canceled till May 13, 2025.”
Earlier, airline sources said that IndiGo flight 6E2045 from Delhi to Amritsar had to return to Delhi midway after precautionary blackout measures in Amritsar. The airline said that the safety of passengers is its first priority, so the airline regretted the cancellation of the flight. The company has assured the passengers that its teams are closely monitoring the situation.
The airline company has advised passengers to check the status of their flight on the airline’s website or app before leaving the airport. IndiGo is also contacting the affected passengers through calls or messages to help them.
Amid a blackout in Samba, India’s air defence intercepted a Pakistani drone, following which red streaks were seen and sounds of explosions were heard, Army sources said some drones had come in the Samba sector and were being dealt with. Army sources said that comparatively very few drones have come in Samba sector and action is being taken against them and there is nothing to worry about.
