In an interview, Ruchi says, “Since I am from a Gujjar family, women are not allowed to come on the A-line in the field where I work. It was difficult to change people’s perceptions about women working in Bollywood. I want to be an inspiration in my community, who will fight against people’s perceptions. I am the only person from my community who has reached the Bollywood industry. And got full support from my father in my journey. Now my entire family supports me.”
