NEET PG 2025 New Exam Date To Be Held On August 3 In Single Shift
NEET-PG 2025 To Be Held On Aug 3: Supreme Court Allows NBE: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate Courses (NEET PG) 2025 exam has been postponed and will now be held on 3 August 2025. This change has come after the extension given by the Supreme Court to the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Earlier, this exam was to be held on 15 June 2025. The Supreme Court has made it clear that no further extension will be given after this. During today’s hearing, the lawyer said that due to conducting the exam in a single shift, the date has to be extended. This is what we have demanded in the application.
On this, the Supreme Court said Why are you taking so much time? On this, the lawyer of NBE said a few things. Then the Supreme Court said that this is too much time. The whole process is getting delayed. NBE said that there are a total of 2 lakh 50 thousand candidates. There were about 450 centers. Since we have to examine a single shift, we need at least 500 centers.

The Supreme Court asked tough questions:
It will take time to identify the centres, arrange for security measures, and allow students to choose the examination centre. On this, Justice PK Mishra said, But you need time till August 3? Why so much time?
At the same time, Justice Masih said that you have not even started the process. Whereas the order was passed on May 30. What did you do after that? This is causing the delay. On this, NBE said that we will have to double the number of centers. Then we have to ensure that the centers are safe, which will take time. After that, students will have to be informed about the centers.
