Higher Education Department Issues Strict Instructions To Principals, Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff : 7 Hour Duty Mandatory . The Higher Education Department of the Odisha government has directed the principals, teaching and non-teaching staff of all government and government-aided colleges in the state to strictly adhere to the 7-hour duty rule.
In this regard, the Regional Director of Education wrote a letter to the principals of all colleges in the state on Monday. The letter mentioned that several incidents of violation of the 7-hour duty rule have come to light. Along with this, irregularities have also been found in the mandatory biometric attendance system for teaching and non-teaching staff in colleges.
The Regional Director of Education noted that some principals are violating the rules themselves, but are taking a strict stance against other employees for doing the same. According to the letter, some principals and employees are absent from the college without informing the appropriate authorities.
The Regional Director of Education has directed the principals to follow these rules and guide other staff in this direction. This step is taken with the aim of increasing discipline and sense of responsibility in the colleges.
