How did the accident happen?
When a tent fell in the Bageshwar Dham premises located in Garha village of Chhatarpur, a devotee died after an iron angle hit his head. At the same time, 8 people were injured in this accident. All the injured have been admitted to Chhatarpur District Hospital for treatment. According to the information, it was raining after the Aarti at around 7 am on Thursday. Devotees had gathered under the tent to avoid the rain.
A devotee, Rajesh Kumar Kaushal, said that he is a resident of Chauri Sikandarpur, District Basti, Uttar Pradesh. Rajesh’s father-in-law, Shyamlal Kaushal (age 50 years) has died. He told – “Six members of the family had come to Bageshwar Dham on Wednesday night. Friday is the birthday of the Peethadheeshwar Dhirendra Shastri of the Dham. Before this, on Thursday morning, everyone got ready and went to have darshan of Dhirendra Shastri. During this time, the tent fell. The iron angle hit the head of his father-in-law, Shyamlal Kaushal. He died on the spot.”
Rajesh and Soumya, Parul, Unnati, and 8 others were injured in this accident that took place in the Bageshwar Dham premises located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
