Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Visit UK And The Maldives: PM Modi will go on a two-nation visit on July 23. PM Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to the United Kingdom on July 23-24, 2025, at the invitation of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Prime Minister Modi will make his fourth visit to the United Kingdom. Also, during the second leg of his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conduct a state visit to the Maldives from July 25 to 26, 2025, at the invitation of Maldives President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu. This will be the Prime Minister’s third visit to the Maldives. Along with this, this will be the first visit of a head of state or head of government to the Maldives during the presidency of Dr. Mohammed Muizzu.
PM Modi’s fourth visit to Britain
During his visit to the UK, Prime Minister Modi will hold extensive talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the entire gamut of India-UK bilateral relations. He will also exchange views on issues of regional and global importance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to meet King Charles III. During this visit, the two sides will also review the progress of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), with a special focus on trade and economy, technology and innovation, defence and security, climate, health, education, and people-to-people ties. PM Modi will leave for his fourth visit to the UK on 23 July.
Will be the chief guest at the Maldives’ Independence Day
Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also visit the Maldives in the next leg after his UK visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the ‘Chief Guest’ at the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Maldives’ independence on July 26, 2025. During this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Dr. Mohammed Muizzu and discuss issues of mutual interest. The two leaders will also take stock of the progress in the implementation of the India-Maldives Joint Vision for ‘Comprehensive Economic and Maritime Security Partnership’ adopted during the state visit of the President of Maldives to India in October 2024.
