The nature of Rudraksha is considered to be hot. This is the reason why some people are not able to wear it. In such a situation, you can keep it in your prayer room and can also chant using its rosary. If you are going to wear it for the first time, then keep these things in mind.

Preparation before wearing Rudraksha
Before wearing Rudraksha, soak it in ghee for 24 hours.
After ghee, keep the Rudraksha soaked in cow’s milk.
Wash the Rudraksha with Ganga water and later wipe them with a clean cloth.
Use cotton or silk thread to thread it.
You can also use gold or silver wires.
Now take the Rudraksha in your hand and charge it by chanting Shiva mantras 108 times.
Number of Rudraksha
You can wear a Rudraksha rosary of 108 beads and one Guru bead.
Or you can wear it in number 27 or 54.
Time to wear Rudraksha
The best time to wear Rudraksha is in the morning Brahma Muhurta.
Wear it on an auspicious day, Monday or Thursday.
Rules for wearing Rudraksha
Respect the Rudraksha.
Take it off before going to the toilet.
You can remove it before sleeping.
Chant Rudraksha Mantra and Rudraksha Mool Mantra nine times every morning while wearing it and before removing it at night.
Avoid eating non-vegetarian food and consuming alcohol after wearing it.
Rudraksha is not worn during cremation, funeral or sutak-patak.
