Reliance Retail Company To Hire More Than 40,000 People : India’s largest retail company Reliance Retail has created over 40,000 jobs in the financial year 2024-25. According to the annual report of Reliance Industries Limited for the financial year 2025, as on March 31, 2025, Reliance Retail had 2,47,782 employees. This number was 2,07,552 a year ago. Reliance Retail is one of the largest employers in the retail sector.
This increase in hiring is in line with the company’s continued expansion in the retail space. During the current financial year, Reliance Retail opened 2,602 new stores. With this, the total number of Reliance Retail stores across the country has increased to 19,340. These stores are spread over an area of over 77.4 million square feet.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, said while announcing the company’s financial results, “In FY2025, we focused on strategic improvements in our store network, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening long-term sustainability.”

With the expansion, Reliance Retail is also focusing on enhancing its capabilities. The company said that it is continuously investing in its people and technology to enhance customer satisfaction.
