Kedarnath Yatra Suspended For Next 3 Days : Monsoon is raging in Uttarakhand. Normal life is being disrupted due to heavy rains. Due to this, the Meteorological Department has issued a rate alert today in uttarakhand . Along with this, it has requested people not to step out of their homes unless it is essential. In view of safety, the district administration of Rudraprayag has stopped the Kedarnath Yatra from today for the next 3 days i.e. till August 14.
Meanwhile, Rudraprayag DM has issued an advisory for all the pilgrims coming to Kedarnath. For the safety of the pilgrims, it has been warned to stay away from the Kedarnath Yatra. Rudraprayag DM Pratya Jain said that the Dehradun Meteorological Centre has predicted heavy rains in many places including Rudraprayag on 12, 13 and 14 August. As a precautionary measure for the safety of the pilgrims, the Kedarnath Yatra has been stopped.

Apart from this, the State Disaster Management Department has directed all departments to be on alert during this time. JCB and Pokeland machines have been deployed 24 hours a day in the danger areas of the National Highway. Immediate action can be taken due to the road blockage. He also said that the water level of the river is being continuously monitored and people living on the banks of the river have been appealed to shift to safer places.
