Janhvi Kapoor Responds To Trolling Over Saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ At Dahi Handi Event: Actress Janhvi Kapoor has been busy promoting her upcoming film Param Sundari for the past few days. On Saturday, the actress attended a Dahi Handi event organized on the occasion of Janmashtami. The actress faced trolling for saying ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ at this event. Now Janhvi has reacted to the memes and told why she said ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ at this event.

Janhvi shared a short video of the event on her Instagram stories when she was asked to break the handi. In the video, the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ was heard just before she spoke. She wrote in the caption, ‘Uploaded this entire video just to tell. The Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogan was already raised there; if she did not speak after she spoke, it would have been a problem, and even if she spoke, the video was edited and uploaded as meme material.
She further said, ‘By the way, I will chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai every day, not just on Janmashtami.’ At the event, Janhvi also gave a speech in Marathi, in which she wished everyone a Happy Janmashtami and also requested them to watch her film Param Sundari, which is releasing in theatres on August 29.
Param Sundari is a romantic comedy that showcases the romance between a Delhi boy (played by Siddharth Malhotra) and a Kerala girl (played by Janhvi Kapoor). Apart from Siddharth and Janhvi, the film also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Akash Dahiya in lead roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film is set to release on August 29.
