Jatra Dancer Nisha Maharana Attacked With Chair Again : A chair was thrown at Nisha Maharana in the Jatni Thana Chack area. Nisha was performing a dance while the yatra was going on. At that time, some youths were dancing under the pendal. They invited another youth sitting there to dance by holding his hand. However, the youth flatly refused. They said that the dance item number was obscene and threw a chair at Nisha Maharana. After the chair fell on the stage, Nisha left from there.
As the dance stopped, some youths got agitated and beat up the youth who threw the chair, leaving him bleeding. There was tension under the pavilion for some time. The police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Preliminary investigation revealed that there was political anger behind the attack.
