Patna High Court orders immediate removal of AI video of PM Modi’s mother

Patna High Court Orders Congress To Remove AI-Generated Video Of PM Modi’s Mother From Social Media: In a significant development, the Patna High Court has ordered the Congress party to immediately remove an AI-generated video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother from all social media platforms. The court, led by Acting Chief Justice P.B. Bajantri, also issued notices to the Congress party, as well as tech giants Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Google, following a petition filed by BJP leader Vivekanand Singh.

The controversial video, released by Bihar Congress during the Vote Adhikar Yatra, sparked outrage from the BJP, which called it a personal attack and an insult to PM Modi’s late mother. Despite Congress defending the video as political commentary, the court found the content objectionable. The Election Commission’s lawyer, Siddharth Prasad, confirmed that the court has directed immediate compliance with the order.

The video’s release led to strong reactions from the BJP, including an FIR and a public statement from PM Modi himself, who condemned the use of his mother’s image in political messaging. He stated, “My mother had nothing to do with politics. Yet, she was abused.” The incident has intensified political tensions ahead of upcoming elections.
