Bullet Train Will Start Operating?
Bullet trains will start running between Mumbai and Ahmedabad from 2027. During this period, the journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will take just two hours. Railway Minister Ashwani Baishnab shared this information on Friday. She said that the first bullet train will run on a 50-km section in Surat in 2027. This is the first phase of the bullet train that will be opened for passengers. The Railway Minister also shared a video on his official social media platform, X.
The work on the Mumbai Bullet Train station is progressing at a rapid pace. It is believed that the pace at which the project is progressing indicates that the first bullet train will be on the track by 2027. The train will reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad by about two hours. The train will also facilitate trade between the two cities.
The Mumbai Bullet Train Station in the Bandra Kurla Complex is the only underground station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR corridor. The excavation work is being done for this to a depth of about 106 feet, which is equivalent to a 10-storey building. The platform is planned to be built about 26 meters below the ground. It will have three floors including the platform, concourse and service floor. All the stations on this route will have six platforms. Each platform will be about 415 meters long. The stations will be connected by metro lines and roads.
