It’s not necessary for everyone to know every language. The problem arises when you don’t know English and receive a message in English on WhatsApp . However, WhatsApp has now found a solution to this problem. The company has added a message translation feature to the app, meaning you no longer need any third-party tools to translate messages.

Long-press the message you want to translate and then tap the Translate option. After tapping the Translate option, you’ll be asked which language you want to translate the message into. You can set your preferred language here. This new WhatsApp feature will work in individual chats, group chats, and channel updates.
Automatic translation facility
A separate feature has been provided for Android users, giving you the option to auto-translate your entire chat. Once this feature is turned on, whenever you receive a message, it will automatically translate to your preferred language. While Android users will receive translation support in Hindi, English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, and Arabic, iPhone users have been provided with support for over 19 languages.
WhatsApp says that translation only happens locally on the device, meaning the company can neither read nor store the message. This feature has been rolled out, and the company will gradually add more languages. With this new feature, it will now be easier to read messages in your own language on this platform that connects over 3 billion people in 180 countries.
