Women Will Get Higher Pay For Overtime : Now, if you work more than 48 hours in a week, you will get overtime allowance. Women employees can work at night if they want. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi took an important decision in the state cabinet meeting today.
The meeting chaired by Mohan Majhi has approved four major proposals. The Chief Minister has approved four proposals from three departments. In this meeting, the Chief Minister has amended the Commercial Establishments Act-1956. Not only that, the Factories Act-1948 has also been amended. Along with this, the Godavarish Adarsh Primary School Scheme of the Public Education Department has been approved.

The Chief Minister has given Rs 226 crore for the peripheral development of Ghatgaon Tarini Peeth. It has been decided in the meeting that a DPR will be prepared for the peripheral development of 59 acres of land. It has been made mandatory for all signing boards in Odia to be located in Odia.
Taking the biggest decision, the Chief Minister has increased the daily working hours from 9 hours to 10 hours. Employees who work more than 48 hours in a week will get overtime allowance. As per the decision taken in the meeting, women employees can work at night if they want. For this, they will have to give a consent letter. The government has assured that they will make security arrangements during this period.
The cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, was held in the Lok Sabha. The Chief Secretary, departmental ministers, and secretaries were present.
