When Will Diwali Be Celebrated ?

Diwali 2025 Date ,Ramnarayan Dwivedi, General Secretary of the Kashi Vidvat Parishad, stated that in 2025, the Amavasya Tithi begins on October 20th. On this day, the Amavasya Pradosh period is prevalent, which is considered essential for worshipping Goddess Lakshmi. On October 21st, the Amavasya period lasts for three prahars.
Since Pratipada lasts for three and a half prahars on that day, the time for paran (eating) of new food is not available, which, from a scriptural perspective, hinders the completion of Diwali. It is classically believed that the grand festival of Diwali should be celebrated only on the Amavasya Tithi and Pradosh period. Therefore, celebrating the grand festival of Diwali on October 20th across the country is in accordance with the scriptures.
