Gold Prices See a Festive Surge
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the price of 24-carat gold rose to ₹1,25,957 per 10 grams, marking an increase of ₹312 from the previous session.
However, a more dramatic rise was seen in the rates reported by the India Bullion and Jewellery Association (IBJA). Gold prices there soared by a massive ₹3,627, reaching ₹1,30,874 per 10 grams, up from ₹1,27,247 the previous day.
In Delhi’s bullion market, gold was priced at ₹1,32,930 per 10 grams, only ₹10 higher than the previous session, but still at a historically high level.
Silver Follows Suit with Price Jump
Silver, too, rebounded after two days of decline. On MCX, silver prices increased by ₹696, reaching ₹1,57,300 per kg. Meanwhile, on IBJA, silver was quoted at ₹1,71,275 per kg, up by ₹425.

Commodity analysts attribute the surge to a combination of factors:
