Congress announces second phase of party list for Bihar elections; Know who got seat and where
Congress Announces Second List for Bihar Elections: Check Who Got A Ticket And From Where: As the election atmosphere intensifies in Bihar, internal rifts within the Grand Alliance are becoming increasingly public. On Saturday, the Congress party released its second list of five candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections, bringing the total number of declared candidates to 53. However, despite the election bugle being sounded, clarity on seat-sharing within the alliance remains elusive, prompting alliance partners to announce candidates independently.
The situation took a serious turn when Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru was heckled at Patna airport by disgruntled party workers. They accused him of selling tickets and manipulating the candidate selection process. A video of the chaos at the Congress headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram, further fueled the controversy. Senior Congress MP Tariq Anwar publicly questioned the transparency of ticket allocation, while party spokesperson Anand Madhav resigned in protest, citing bias and irregularities.
Adding to the alliance’s woes, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has decided to contest the elections alone, citing dissatisfaction with the seat-sharing negotiations. With the first phase of nominations closing and multiple constituencies still in limbo, the Grand Alliance is facing mounting criticism for its lack of coordination—potentially weakening its stance in the fiercely contested Bihar elections.
