Odisha Police to recruit 4,219 constables through direct recruitment
The Odisha Police Department has been informed by the Home Department of the state government about the recruitment of 4219 constables through direct recruitment. In a letter to the D.G. and IG of Police, Deputy Secretary Tarun Kumar Panda said that the government, after considering, has approved the proposal of the State Police Headquarters, Odisha, Cuttack for filling up 4219 posts of constables in the Odisha Police through direct recruitment by following/accepting the relevant recruitment/constitutional rules.
The Deputy Secretary has stated in the letter that while filling the said post of Constable rank, the SOP issued on September 22nd of this year along with various instructions issued by the department should be followed.
The letter states that the government took this decision to fill the vacant posts after considering the proposal submitted by the state police headquarters to fill the vacant posts of constables in the state.
