CM Yogi Adityanath Renames Mustafabad as Kabirdham, Emphasizes Cultural Revival and Development

Yogi Adityanath Declares: Mustafabad Will Now Be Known as ‘Kabir Dham’: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Vishwa Kalyan Ashram in Mustafabad, Lakhimpur Kheri, on Monday to attend the Smriti Prakatyotsav Mela-2025. Paying his respects to revered saints, the Chief Minister announced that Mustafabad would be renamed Kabirdham in honor of Saint Kabirdas. He said that under the double-engine government, efforts are being made to restore and beautify religious and spiritual sites across the state, emphasizing that such resources are now being used for cultural rejuvenation rather than cemetery boundaries.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to preserving India’s spiritual heritage, CM Yogi remarked that during previous regimes, Ayodhya was renamed Faizabad, Prayagraj was renamed Allahabad, and Kabirdham was renamed Mustafabad. He said his government is working to restore these places’ original identity and pride. Quoting Saint Kabirdas, he said the saint’s words continue to guide society even today. Yogi further cautioned people to stay vigilant against forces that aim to divide the nation, asserting that patriotism and unity are the true solutions to every problem.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the development taking place in border districts like Lakhimpur Kheri, mentioning ongoing work on village roads, medical colleges, airport expansion, and eco-tourism. Praising Saint Asangdev Ji Maharaj for his work in religion, drug de-addiction, and national awareness, CM Yogi stressed the importance of cow protection and natural farming. He said the government provides ₹1,500 per month for every cow and urged public representatives to ensure proper care of cow shelters.
