Actor Ashrumochan in tears after accident
Veteran actor Asrumochana’s car involved in an accident. The vehicle fell into a canal while trying to save the cooker. Asrumochana narrowly escaped. A major accident was averted today when veteran Odia actor Asrumochana Mohanty’s car fell into a canal while he was returning from a shoot in Cuttack.

According to the information received, Ashuromochana Mohanty, known for his contribution to Odia cinema, was returning to his Kalarahang residence after completing a shoot in Cuttack. The incident took place near the New Patiya Railway Station. While he was returning, a stray dog on the road came in front of his car. He tried not to hit the dog and his car fell into the canal. He lost control of the car and the car fell into the canal. However, he managed to apply the brakes in time and the car was saved from drowning. And by the grace of God, he also survived unharmed.
His son later went to the scene and helped him out of the car. He was unharmed, but the car sustained minor damage.
It is worth mentioning that actor Asrumochana Mohanty made his debut in Hollywood with the Odia film ‘Kurukshetra’ (1988) directed by Sriram Panda. After that, he has been active in the acting world for 37 years. Some of his notable films include ‘Chaka Achi Saav Dekhendhe, Asuchi Mo Kalia Suna, Suna Samsar, Singh Bahini, Kiyo Kiras, Dharma Sahil Hela, Sunapalinki, Kashia Kapila, Savitri, Magunir Shagad’ etc. He is also a successful director in the travel world. Asrumochana Mohanty has also acted in many TV serials.
