The state government has created 4,433 new posts of ‘Nursing Officer’ to make healthcare services more simple, streamlined and people-oriented.

These posts have been created in the Odisha Nursing Service Cadre after the approval of the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mukesh Mahaling. With the creation of these posts, they will work as Community Health Officers in Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub Health Centres.

The Minister said that the quality of nursing services in the hospital establishment will be improved. This step will help in making the health environment of the state more efficient and committed in the coming days. On the other hand, the Finance Department has given its approval for these posts. It is learnt that the department will soon announce the upcoming rules like examination, training etc for postings.
