Gautam Gambhir visited Maa Kamakhya and prayed for victory in the second Test
Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has visited the Kamakhya Temple. The second India vs. South Africa Test is scheduled to be played in Guwahati, Assam, starting November 22nd. Gambhir paid obeisance at the Kamakhya Temple before the match. It is reported that some members of Team India’s support staff also accompanied Gambhir to the temple.
Gautam Gambhir always goes to the temple to pray before any series. Before the start of the India-South Africa Test series, he went to the Kalighat temple in Kolkata to worship Maa Kali. Similarly, he went to the Kamaksha temple before the second Test. If India wins this match, the Test series will be drawn 1-1.
Team India reached Guwahati on Wednesday. However, Shubman Gill will not be able to play in this match due to injury problems. He was admitted to the hospital due to a neck injury sustained in the Kolkata Test. Even after being discharged from the hospital, Shubman is not yet fit. In Shubman’s absence, Rishabh Pant will take over the captaincy in the second Test.
