Aadhaar Card Rule Changed
An update has come out regarding Aadhaar card. Aadhaar card is not required to apply for birth certificate. The Planning Department has issued instructions to all departments in this regard. The government has taken this decision to prevent duplicate birth and death certificates for illegal purposes.
According to sources, the Maharashtra government has issued a similar order regarding Aadhaar card. It says that Aadhaar card will no longer be valid as a document for obtaining late birth certificates in Maharashtra. This rule has been issued not only in Maharashtra but also in Uttar Pradesh. The government has taken this decision to prevent duplicate birth and death certificates for illegal purposes. Along with this, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has ordered to cancel all suspicious certificates issued using Aadhaar card.
In addition, action has been taken against the officer who issued this certificate. The Revenue Department has issued 16-point verification instructions to all Tehsildars, Sub-Divisional Officers, District Commissioners and Divisional Commissioners.
