Portal opened for teacher transfer. The online application process for primary teacher transfer has started. The Directorate of Primary Education, Odisha has issued a letter to all District Education Officers or DEOs in this regard. In which they have been asked to apply online for primary teacher transfer within the district. According to the letter, the transfer will be made as per the notification number 13453 issued by the School and Mass Education Department on May 14. The portal for online teacher transfer will be opened from November 28 and applications can be made till December 25. Therefore, primary teachers who want to go to any other school within the district will have to apply online before December 25. The letter states that the entire process will be completed online by December 25, 2025.

It is worth noting that now the MLAs will not be able to transfer teachers according to their wishes. The government gave the MLAs the power to transfer teachers on their recommendations, but the High Court has taken this power away from the MLAs. He said that political interference in the education system is not appropriate. While the opposition welcomed the High Court’s order, the minister said that we will bring transparency in the transfer going forward.

However, the High Court has removed the power given by the government to MPs and MLAs to transfer teachers. The High Court has disapproved of political interference in the education sector. It should be noted that the case reached the High Court after the transfer order was issued on the recommendation of the MLA. The petitioner alleged that the transfer was being violated by violating the rules. After hearing, the High Court said that the teacher who joined the work after the transfer will remain there until the current academic year. He will return to his previous place of appointment within 7 days of the beginning of the next academic year.
