Another student death case in Kit. Suspicious body of first year Computer Science student Rahul Yadav recovered, found hanging from a fan inside the hostel. The student’s house is known to be Chhattisgarh, Infocity police have recovered the body and his parents are waiting for the arrival of the parents. The post-mortem will be conducted after the family members arrive . It has been reported that the student’s father committed suicide last night.

It is said that he died by hanging himself from a fan last night. Rahul was staying in a single room. The family of the deceased has been informed about the incident. However, the reason for the suicide is not known. The truth of the incident will come out after the police conduct an investigation. Meanwhile, the repeated suicides of students in Kit have created a stir among parents and intellectuals.
It is noteworthy that Trisha alias Shani (18), a first-year student of Computer Science of the said university, committed suicide on May 2. In this regard, the Infocity police station registered a case of unnatural death and continued the investigation into the incident. The deceased student’s mobile, laptop and some accounts were seized from the scene and sent to the State Forensic Lab (SFSL) for examination. Nepal’s Foreign Minister expressed concern over the incident.

Trisha was enrolled in the Computer Science department for the last 8 months. She had been living in the ‘Kit’ hostel for the last 4 months. All the students from Nepal had gone home during the current summer vacation, but the first-year students remained in the hostel for campus exams. On Thursday evening, Trisha’s friends had gone out, but she remained in the hostel. It is said that she was under mental stress due to a fight with her boyfriend. However, when the hostel staff checked her attendance in the evening, Trisha did not open the door. Suspicion grew as she did not open the door for a long time.

The staff members, who saw her hanging from the fan from the window, informed the police. In the presence of the Central RDC, Police Commissioner, Additional CP, DCP, Deputy Collector, two Additional DCPs, local zone ACP and a scientific team, the door was broken, the student was rescued and sent to KIMS. There, the doctor declared Trisha dead. The Infocity police station has informed the family about the incident. On the other hand, the police questioned 10 people, including the hostel authorities and some classmates.
This incident comes two and a half months after the death of Nepali BTech second year student Prakruti Lamsa at KIT University. The case is pending before a high-level committee of the government.
