Smriti Mandhana–Palash Muchhal Wedding Now on December 7 After Postponement
Smriti Mandhana–Palash Muchhal Wedding Rescheduled for December 7, Confirms Brother Shravan: The much-anticipated wedding of Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer-filmmaker Palash Muchhal, originally scheduled for November 23, has been postponed following a medical emergency in the Mandhana family. The sudden change in plans occurred just a day before the ceremony, sending fans and media into a flurry of speculation.
According to family sources, Smriti’s father suffered a minor heart attack on the morning of the sangeet ceremony, leading to his immediate hospitalization. Though he was discharged a few days later and is recovering well, the family decided to postpone the wedding.
In recent days, rumors have circulated on social media suggesting that the couple might marry on December 7. However, Smriti’s brother, Shravan Mandhana, has denied all such claims. Speaking to the media, he clarified, “I have no idea about these rumors. The wedding is currently postponed. No new date has been finalized yet.”
On the other side, Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has openly spoken about the unfortunate turn of events, expressing that both families—and especially the couple—were deeply saddened. She added that the Indian women’s cricket team had planned a special welcome for Smriti and Palash post-wedding, which also had to be put on hold.
The couple, who had completed all their pre-wedding festivities and were seen dancing joyfully during the sangeet, were set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025. Their manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed that the wedding had to be postponed after Smriti’s father’s sudden health complications.
For now, the wedding remains indefinitely postponed, and the families have requested privacy while they focus on Smriti’s father’s recovery.
