+2 Exams Started From February 18, Admit Card Will Be Available By This Day

Plus 2 exam started from february 18

The annual Higher Secondary or Plus Two (+2) examination will start from February 18, 2026. The examination will continue till March 21. In this regard, the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has announced the examination schedule. This time, a total of 4 lakh 7 thousand 37 candidates will appear for the exam. The examination will start from 10 am and end at 2 pm.

Plus Two (+2) Exam: This year, a total of 1350 examination centers have been set up in 30 districts of the state. 4,00,737 students have filled the form to appear for the examination this year, which is significantly more than the previous year. Last year (2024), 3,91,809 students appeared for the Plus Two examination. This year, 2,56,043 students will appear for the Arts, 1,14,238 students for the Science, 24,533 students for the Commerce and 5,923 students for the Vocational stream.

CHSE Chairman Mrinal Kanthi Das said, “The practical exam will start from January 2 and will continue till January 15. After that, the theory exam will start as per the scheduled schedule. Special security arrangements have been made to conduct the exam this time. AI cameras at 210 hubs in the state will monitor the exam administration and will closely monitor the exam process. Admit cards will be distributed to students from December 15.”

For the first time, the entire evaluation process of the practical exam will be done through webcast and live streaming. The board has said that this system will help in preventing question paper theft or any other illegal activities. Last year, the exam was held at 1268 centers. But this year, the number of exam centers has been increased to 1350. This time, there will be more centers, which will make it easier for students to travel.

Answering the questions raised about the question paper going viral, CHSE Exam Controller Prashant Kumar Parida said, “The board’s hub system will be the strongest and the question paper will reach the hub directly from the printing station. Everything will be opened under CCTV surveillance. After reaching the exam center from the hub, the question paper will be distributed directly to the students, due to which there is no possibility of the question paper going viral.”
