Manya Anand clarifies viral casting couch allegation against Dhanush’s manager
Earlier, South star Dhanush was in a controversy, now he is in the news again. But this time not for his own mistakes but for his manager Shreyas. Tamil TV actress Manya Anand has brought the casting couch allegations. In an interview, Manya said, ‘Dhunush’s manager Shreyas contacted her for a new film and told her to compromise. Manya’s words were enough to shock the users. What Mana said was that I had refused this film. Even then, he called me repeatedly and approached me for it. He also sent me the script. But I was adamant about my decision.
Manya also said about Shreyas, ‘Shreyas gave me a film offer. And asked me to commit. He said that I have to adjust because he meant it. After hearing this, I made up my mind clearly. Even then Shreyas did not agree. He said, then will you not agree? Even if Dhanush sir says so, will you not agree? Shreyas then tried to trick me many times. Dhanush’s production company Wunderbar Films also sent me the location. A few days later, he called me and asked if I had read the script. I refused. I told him clearly, I will never do this film. I am an artist. I will work but don’t expect anything from me in return’. Manya said in an interview, if I had listened to Shreyas that day, then the casting couch in the industry would have been strengthened. Artists will have to end this pattern.
30-year-old Manya is very popular for her Tamil TV serial called Vanathai Pola. However, there was no response from Shreyas or Dhanush after Maana’s interview went viral. However, Dhanush had earlier come into the limelight for another incident. Actress Nayanthara had filed a case against Dhanush in court for using a few minutes of a clip from Dhanush’s film in one of her own documentaries. In the end, Dhanush won.
