Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran has issued a statement posted on the social media platform X. The statement reads, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident involving Air India Flight 171. Words cannot describe the grief we are feeling at this moment. Our condolences and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones and those who have been injured.”
Compensation of one crore rupees each
Apart from this, compensation has also been announced by Tata Sons. Announcing the compensation in the post, it is written, “Tata Group will provide ₹ 1 crore to the families of each person who lost their lives in this tragedy. We will also bear the medical expenses of the injured and ensure that they get all the necessary care and support. Additionally, we will assist in the construction of the hostel of BJ Medical. We stand with the affected families and communities in this unimaginable time.”

Let us tell you that the person who survived in this flight has been identified as Ramesh Vishwas Kumar. This passenger was sitting on the ’11A’ seat of Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which had 242 passengers and crew members. He was going to London with his brother. Meanwhile, Dr. Shariq M, working in the trauma ward of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, said that Ramesh Vishwas Kumar has been admitted to the hospital. Let us tell you that there were 242 people on board the plane, including two pilots and 10 crew members. According to Air India, out of the 230 passengers on board the plane, 169 were Indians, 53 British, one Canadian, and seven Portuguese citizens.
