The confirmation comes as the studio revealed that the film, initially slated for a 2025 release, will now arrive in theaters on December 24, 2026. Earlier, it was reported that Kiara Advani would play the lead role.
Maddock Films has positioned ‘Shakti Shalini’ as part of its expanding Horror Comedy Universe, a franchise that has gradually built a following with previous instalments.
In addition to confirming the lead, the makers have released Paddaβs first look from ‘Shakti Shalini’, which is now being shared on social media platforms. This visual reveal has generated speculation online, with several users suggesting that the actor may have made an uncredited appearance in ‘Thammaβs end-credit scene as her character, ‘Shakti Shalini’. The studio is yet to officially share the announcement.
According to the official announcement, the release date for ‘Shakti Shalini’ has been moved from its initial 2025 schedule to December 24, 2026.
