Ashish Vidyarthi Injured in Guwahati Road Accident, Actor Confirms He and Wife Rupali Are Safe: Bollywood actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife Rupali Barua were involved in a road accident in Guwahati on Friday night. The veteran actor has now confirmed that while he sustained minor injuries, both he and his wife are safe and in stable condition.
Ashish Vidyarthi addressed the incident through a live video on his Instagram account to reassure fans after reports of the accident surfaced on news channels. Speaking calmly, he said, “I’m going live at a strange time just to let you all know that yesterday Rupali and I were crossing the road when a bike hit us. We’re both fine. Rupali has been kept under observation. Everything is fine. I’m a little injured, but I’m absolutely okay.”
During the live broadcast, the actor even took a short walk to demonstrate that he was doing well. He urged people not to sensationalize the incident and added that he had checked on the bike rider involved in the accident. “I’ve spoken to the police, and the bike rider has regained consciousness. We are taking very good care of him. May everyone be well,” Vidyarthi said.
In the caption accompanying the video, he wrote, “Rupali and I are fine… We’re under observation… But everything is fine… Thank you for your love,” expressing gratitude for the concern and support pouring in from fans.
Ashish Vidyarthi married Rupali Barua in 2023. He was earlier married to Pilu Vidyarthi for 22 years before the couple mutually separated in 2022.
On the professional front, the actor was recently seen in the first season of the reality show The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, where he was eliminated during the “Circle of Doubt” round.
