Asia Cup to be held from Sept 9 to 28
Asia Cup 2025 Full Schedule Announced : India and Pakistan will meet in a blockbuster clash at the Asia Cup 2025 on September 14. The full schedule was announced on Saturday.
The Asian Cricket Council chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, announced on Saturday that the 2025 Asian Cup will take place between September 9 to 28 in the United Arab Emirates. Naqvi, who also heads the Pakistan Cricket Board, made the announcement through his official X account.The Asia Cup will see eight teams compete in a T20 format, a dress rehearsal of sorts ahead of next year’s T20 World Cup. The tournament format ensures at least one India-Pakistan clash in the group stage, keeping up with the format that has stayed ever since the two nations stopped playing each other in bilateral series.

Asia Cup Deatails :
The Asia Cup begins on September 9 and the final will be played on September 28. Before facing Pakistan, India will start their Asia Cup campaign by playing their first match against the UAE on the 10th. Similarly, India and Pakistan will clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on the 12th. India will play their last group match against Oman on the 19th. India, Pakistan, Oman and the UAE are in Group A of the Asia Cup.
Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Each team will play 3 matches in the group stage. After that, the top 2 teams from each group will advance to the next round. There, each team will play 2 matches against each other in a round-robin format. After that, the trophy will be contested between the top 2 teams.
India is hosting the Asia Cup. But instead of India, the Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the UAE in the T20 format. All the matches of the Asia Cup 2025 will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Although India is the host of the Asia Cup, the matches will be hosted by the BCCI at neutral venues.
This time the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format. A total of 8 teams including India will participate in it. Apart from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, UAE and Oman will be seen in the Asia Cup 2025.
India and Pakistan are in the same group. This means that the two teams are likely to clash three times. The two teams could clash in the league stage, Super Four and the final. But everything depends on qualification.
