Babita Patra Appointed As Chairperson Of Child Protection Commission : The Odisha government on Tuesday appointed her as the Chairperson of the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

A resident of Mayur Vihar in Berhampur, Babita will hold the post from the date of assuming charge or till she attains the age of sixty-five, said a government notification issued by the Women and Child Development Department.

Along with this, the government has also appointed six more members to the rights panel for a period of three years or till the age of sixty years. They include Sukeshi Oram, Sampal Lenka, Chandana Das, Kasturi Mishra, Manasmita Khuntia, Sujata Nayak.
