common people affected in this big changes
Big Changes From August 1 : Changes In UPI , LPG Price Change , Air Travel , SBI Credit Card Changes . The month of August is about to begin in the next two days. From August 1, there are 6 financial changes that will affect the common man. During this period, the prices of fuel and LPG are expected to increase due to changes in UPI rules. Let’s see what is going to change from next month.
Changes in UPI:
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is going to impose a limit on UPI apps like Paytm, PhonePe and Google Pay to improve the experience of UPI users and reduce unnecessary load on the apps. As per the new change, users will no longer be able to check their account balance more than 50 times.
Apart from this, users can only view bank account details from one app 25 times a day. Along with this, time slots for auto-pay have also been fixed – before 10 am, between 1 pm and 5 pm and after 9.30 pm. All these rules are going to be applicable to all UPI users.

LPG price change
Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) review the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders every month. Last month, the price of commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by Rs 60. This has raised hopes that domestic LPG prices will also come down this time.
Over the past few months, there has been a continuous change in the price of LPG cylinders. The government is expected to review the price of LPG cylinders on August 1, which could affect your pocket.
CNG and PNG prices likely to increase
There has been no change in the prices of CNG and PNG since April 9, but their prices are likely to change from August 1. If their prices increase, then the cost of travel and cooking may increase as these gases are used in autos, cabs and gas pipelines.
Air travel can be expensive
The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) is likely to change from August 1. It is used in aircraft. If the ATF price increases, airlines may pass on the increased cost to passengers. This will make airfares more expensive, so when booking your flights in August, keep an eye on the fares and book well in advance to avoid last-minute fare hikes.
SBI to discontinue free credit card insurance
If you use a State Bank of India (SBI) card and are availing free accident insurance while travelling by air, then there is some big news for you. The bank is going to discontinue free air accident insurance coverage on many of its co-branded credit card variants from August 11, 2025.
SBI Bank, in partnership with several banks like UCO Bank, Central Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and Allahabad Bank, was offering free air accident insurance coverage ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore on Elite and Prime cards, which is now going to be discontinued.
