Bihar Assembly Election In 2 Phases On November 6 And 11
Bihar Election Date Announce : The Election Commission of India has announced that the Bihar Assembly elections will be conducted on November 6 and 11 in two phases. The counting will be on November 14.

“Bihar poll is the mother of all elections, which is why a total of 8.5 lakh officers are deployed for Bihar elections,” Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said.

According to the Election Commission, Bihar has a total of 243 assembly constituencies, of which 38 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 2 for Scheduled Tribes. The total number of voters is approximately 74.2 million, including 39.2 million men and 35 million women. Approximately 400,000 are senior citizens, and approximately 14,000 voters are 100 years of age or older.


Political parties have urged the Election Commission to hold the elections immediately after the Chhath festival in late October to ensure maximum voter participation. A large number of people working outside the state return home for the festivals during that time. The 2020 state assembly elections were held in three phases against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
