Nitish Kumar Oath Ceremony Today: BJP Gains Edge in Bihar Cabinet
Bihar Election: Nitish Kumar Sworn in as Bihar CM for 10th Time Today: Bihar is set to witness a historic political moment today as Nitish Kumar takes oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the 10th time. The grand oath-taking ceremony at Gandhi Maidan is expected to attract more than 2 lakh people, making it one of the largest political gatherings in recent years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Chief Ministers of all BJP-ruled states are scheduled to attend the event. Following the NDA’s landslide victory in the assembly elections, preparations for the swearing-in have been carried out at an unprecedented scale.
Along with Nitish Kumar, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha will once again assume charge as Deputy Chief Ministers. Both BJP and JDU finalized their leadership names in their respective legislative party meetings.
Gandhi Maidan has been transformed into a high-security zone for the ceremony. Authorities have constructed two massive stages to accommodate around 150 special guests, including Chief Ministers of various states, Union ministers, and senior leaders of the NDA alliance.
A special banquet has been prepared by Raj Bhavan for dignitaries attending the ceremony. For accommodation, approximately 260 hotel rooms across Patna have been booked in advance. Special focus has been placed on VIP lounges, reception areas, and seating arrangements for the general public.
Security has been entrusted to the Special Protection Group (SPG), with more than 2,500 security personnel, 250 police officers, and over 250 magistrates deployed across the venue. Snipers have also been stationed atop high-rise buildings surrounding Gandhi Maidan to ensure maximum safety.
