Officially Amar Patnaik joins BJP
Socking news for BJD. Biju Janata Dal senior leader, IT Cell Chairman, former Rajya Sabha MP and party spokesperson Amar Patnaik joined BJP today. Amar Patnaik formally joined BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State BJP President Manmohan Samal and BJP State In-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar. BJP State In-charge Vijay Singh Tomar welcomed Amar Patnaik to the party by donning the party cap. Former State BJP President Sameer Mohanty and senior leader Pinki Pradhan were also present at the party’s merger ceremony.
Amar Patnaik said that he joined the BJP after being encouraged by the BJP’s working style and the party’s role in the development process in Odisha. While Naveen Patnaik was campaigning in Nuapada, Amar Patnaik’s joining the BJP has put the BJD in a bind.
The discussion started this morning. Apart from him, some prominent BJD leaders from Nuapada constituency will also join the BJP. Today, a grand melding party is being held at the BJP state office. It is said that some prominent BJD leaders from Nuapada constituency will also receive the Padma award.
