Chandbali Shutdown Today
Bhadrak Chandbali minor girl raped and later murdered, bandh called. Both BJD and Congress will launch protest today . Chandbali block bandh call has been given for 6 hours today. Both BJD and Congress will go on strike from 6 am to 12 noon.
It is worth noting that a day ago, a 10-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Chandbali. There was a stir in Chandbali after the body of a class 3 student was found naked. Following this, people burnt tyres and blocked roads in different parts of the city. Later, the police arrested the main accused Babul Das from Jagatsinghpur district. After the arrest, the agitated people vandalised the accused’s house.
Meanwhile, the Congress has also attacked the state government over the Chandbali incident. It has alleged that women have been subjected to torture during this government. But the party has said that the police administration has remained silent. The Congress has demanded an assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the victim’s family.
