Anubhav Appeal To CM For Odia Movie Chardham

Chardham Odia Films Have Been Removed From The Halls : South films dubbed in Hindi have come to Odisha and the hall owners have removed the Odia films from the halls. Odia superstar and lead actor of the film Charidham, Anubhav Mohanty, has appealed to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi regarding this. Anubhav has appealed to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi today and wrote that Odia cinema is facing its worst time in this Dussehra, when Odia films that are running in house full are being removed and priority is being given to films in other languages and Hindi films.

Odia films are being removed from the halls so that films in other languages can be shown. Anubhav mentioned that this is an injustice to Odisha’s own art, culture and people. Anubhav appealed to the Chief Minister to stand with Odia cinema and focus on how our Odia films get an equal place in the cinema halls.

The truth behind Anubhav’s appeal
There is indeed a truth behind Anubhav’s appeal. If we take a look at the cinema listings of major theatres in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, we can see that there are 2 to 3 slots for Anubhav’s film in the cinema halls, while only one slot has been given for Challenge, which was released in a pooja mood. On the other hand, there are more than 10 slots for the Hindi dubbed film Kantara.
