Ajay Devgn De De Pyaar De 2 review

De De Pyaar De 2 of Ajay Devgn’s film “De De Pyaar De” has been released in theaters. The film stars Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu, along with R. Madhavan and Meezaan Jaffrey. If you’re planning to watch this comedy film in theaters, be sure to read this review.

Luv Ranjan’s films have always been accused of being “misogynistic,” as his stories often feature male protagonists. But six years later, in 2025, “De De Pyaar De 2” shows that the filmmaker has decided to shed his “old guise.” This time, the story’s “heart” is a girl who speaks her mind openly and cannot be silenced.

Story
In the previous film, Ashish introduced his new girlfriend to his children and wife. This time, the story moves forward a bit. Six years later, Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) has finally decided to marry Ashish ( Ajay Devgn ). Now it’s time to meet the family. Ayesha takes him to Chandigarh to meet her parents, Rakesh (R. Madhavan) and Anju Khurana (Gautami Kapoor). Rakesh, also known as “Raj,” and Anju… this couple considers themselves “educated, modern, and open-minded” parents. At first, they meet Ashish with relative ease, but when they discover that a 56-year-old man wants to marry their 26-year-old daughter, all their “progressive” ideals vanish.
And then, Raj, the “liberal dad,” suddenly transforms into the strict “Papa Knows Best” dad. He hatches a plan to separate his daughter from Ashish. This plan involves Aditya (Meezaan Jaffrey), whom Rakesh assigns to the “Beti Patao Mission” to convince Ayesha to leave Ashish. To find out what happens next, you’ll have to watch “De De Pyaar De” 2 in theaters.

Know how this film is
“De De Pyaar De” is a good comedy. It’s fun to see R. Madhavan and Ajay Devgn reunite in a new avatar after “Shaitan.” The film doesn’t feel boring throughout. The pace slows down for a few moments in the second half, but a smile still lingers. This is a film that neither forces you to think nor imparts any wisdom. Just go to the theater, eat popcorn, and enjoy.
