The BJP is sure to get a clear majority in the ongoing assembly elections. As of 2 pm, the counting of votes is underway on Saturday, and the BJP is leading in 48 out of the total 70 seats. Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has been in power for the past 10 years, has had to stop at 22 seats. The party is leading in 22 seats. Surprisingly, the AAP supremo Kejriwal has had to lose the elections.

Not only Kejriwal, but heavyweight leaders like former ministers Manish Sisodia, Somnath Bharti, Satyendra Jain, and Durgesh Vachhak have had to taste defeat. BJP leaders are elated over the party’s impressive performance in Delhi. Celebrations are being held at various places in the national capital. This is being hailed as one of the biggest victories for the BJP after it defeated the long-ruling BJD government in Odisha. On the other hand, the Congress has not been able to open its account this time either. For the third consecutive time, no Congress candidate has won the assembly elections. Despite Rahul Gandhi’s campaign, the people of Delhi have rejected this oldest party.
