According to trade reports by Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned a massive ₹53.70 crore on its ninth day, which was its second Saturday—an achievement no other Hindi film has managed so far. On Sunday, the film added another ₹18.40 crore to its tally, taking its total domestic collection to ₹311.16 crore.

With this feat, Dhurandhar has surpassed the second-Saturday collections of several major blockbusters, including Pushpa 2, Chhava, Animal, Jawan, Gadar 2, Stree 2, and even Baahubali 2. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 had collected around ₹46 crore on its second Saturday, while Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava stood at approximately ₹44 crore—both now overtaken by Dhurandhar.

In 2025, Dhurandhar has become only the third Hindi film to cross the ₹300 crore milestone, following Chhava and Saiyyara. However, it leads the race in terms of speed, achieving the landmark in just nine days. Chhava took ten days to reach the mark, while Saiyyara did so on its 17th day.

Industry experts attribute the film’s historic success to several factors, including Ranveer Singh’s powerful performance, Akshaye Khanna’s commanding screen presence, and Aditya Dhar’s tightly crafted direction. Notably, Dhurandhar marks Aditya Dhar’s return to direction after nearly six years, and the film has been widely praised for making that comeback memorable.

Adding to the excitement, the makers have already announced a sequel. Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, and is expected to clash at the box office with Yash’s upcoming film Toxic. With audiences still flocking to theatres, anticipation for the sequel is already running high.
