Elon Musk Announces Exit From US Government Role: Billionaire industrialist and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has made a big decision to separate himself from the Trump administration. Announcing this through a social media post, he wrote that his tenure as a “special government employee” has ended. He also thanked President Donald Trump for giving him the “opportunity to reduce government wasteful expenditure”.

After becoming the President, Donald Trump entrusted Elon Musk with the responsibility of the new department created to cut government expenditure, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). While in this position, Musk worked towards reviewing government policies and bringing transparency to expenditure.
