Elon Musk announced the feature through his X handle. He said in his post that users can use the Imagine feature by updating the X app. However, users will have to be on a waitlist for this feature. Grok’s Imagine feature will create high-quality videos through text commands, which is based on Grok’s new Large Language Model.
Controversy over Imagine feature
Like Google’s Veo3 and Sora, this feature will also create videos based on text prompts. But a new ‘spicy mode’ has been added to Grok’s Imagine, in which users can create 6-second video clips. However, this feature has also been controversial. Many users have complained that this feature may promote obscenity.
Beta access for X Premium users
Beta access to the Grok Imagine feature is now being given to X Premium users. However, the company will select specific users for this, especially those who are heavy users of Grok AI. They will be given beta access first. Along with this, Valentine mode has also been added to Grok AI. Beta access to this feature has also been given to premium users. Valentine mode has a fictional character with whom users can share their thoughts. It will work like a digital friend.
Excitement in India:
Grok AI’s new feature is set to launch during Diwali 2025, which is being billed as an ‘AI-powered Diwali gift’ for Indian content creators and users. There has been excitement in the Indian tech community about it. However, the controversy surrounding Spicy Mode could also affect its usage.
How to get access?
To use this feature, users will need to update the X app and download the Grok app and subscribe. Super Grok subscribers will get early access to this feature starting October 2025, with a monthly subscription of $30.
