Uttrakhand: Stampede at Haridwar’s Mansa Devi temple leaves 6 dead
Haridwar Mansa Devi Temple Stampede: Six Killed, Several Injured: A major accident has occurred due to a stampede on the Mansa Devi temple road in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. 6 devotees died in to stampede in the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar. More than 15 people have been injured. The condition of some of them is said to be critical. It is being said that suddenly the crowd in the temple increased. During this time, people started falling on each other after pushing and shoving.
This created a stampede-like situation there. Haridwar SSP Pramod Singh Doval has confirmed the death of 6 people in the stampede. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over this incident. This is not the only incident of death in a stampede. In the last few months, many such cases have come to light when people lost their lives in the crowd and chaos.
How did the stampede happen in the Mansa Devi temple?
Every day, a huge crowd of devotees gathers at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar. As it was a Sunday, the temple witnessed a huge crowd. It is being said that there was chaos in the temple premises on Sunday amid the huge crowd. After a sudden jostling among the devotees, they started falling on each other. This created a stampede-like situation there. 6 people died in this incident.
