Himachal Flood: More Than 150 Houses Damaged In The Disaster: This time, the weather caused a lot of destruction in Himachal Pradesh. 69 people have lost their lives so far due to the bad weather since June 20. 37 people are still missing. Rescue teams are engaged in searching for them. Leaders from the government to the opposition are visiting the affected areas. People are unable to hold back their tears in front of the leaders, and their pain is coming out. In this destruction, someone’s house was taken away, and someone’s loved ones were swept away. People say that the government should make some concrete arrangements to stop this destruction. How long will we keep leaving our homes?

Himchal cloudburst

Two more bodies have been recovered in the incidents of cloudburst and flash flood in Mandi on Thursday. Thus, the death toll has increased to 13, while the search for 29 other missing people is going on. There were 10 incidents of cloudburst in different areas of Mandi on Tuesday. There were flash floods thrice, and a landslide occurred at one place. Officials said that two bodies were recovered on Thursday morning. Seven bodies were recovered from Gohar, five from Thunag, and one body from the Karsog subdivision of Mandi district.

More than 150 houses, 104 cattle sheds, 31 vehicles, 14 bridges, and several roads were damaged in the disaster. The State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) said that a total of 162 cattle were killed in the disaster, while 370 people, including 316 people in Mandi, were rescued, and five relief camps have been set up. Due to the floods, the Manali-Keylong road has been blocked, and the traffic route has been diverted through Rohtang Pass. Officials said that the Border Roads Organization (BRO) has deployed men and machinery to clear the roads.

261 roads closed for traffic

SEOC said a total of 261 roads in the state are closed for traffic due to heavy rains, of which 186 are in Mandi district. 599 transformers and 797 water supply schemes have been disrupted due to the floods. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur visited the affected areas on Wednesday. Sukhu assured the locals that if any government land is available nearby, it will be allotted to those who have lost their homes.

Himachal Pradesh landslide: Loss of 500 crores

The State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) said that since June 20, a total of 69 people have lost their lives in monsoon incidents across the state. At the same time, 37 people are still missing. A total of 110 people are injured and are being treated in various hospitals. There has been a loss of about 500 crores in the disaster. 14 people died due to a cloudburst, eight in a flash flood, and seven due to being trapped in the current.
