Especially in changing weather and poor air quality, the skin needs extra care so that it can maintain its moisture and glow.
When toxic particles in the air increase, they accumulate on the top layer of the skin. This leads to more dead skin, uneven skin tone, and increased risk of problems like pimples, inflammation, and irritation. People with sensitive skin are more likely to experience this damage, especially those with pre-existing allergies or skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Children, the elderly, and those who spend a lot of time outdoors, such as travelers, reporters, and delivery executives, are at increased risk due to increased exposure. Wash your face at least twice a day with a gentle cleanser, and if you spend extended periods of time outdoors, mildly exfoliate 1-2 times a week to prevent clogged pores. Be sure to apply moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning, as pollution and UV rays combined cause the most damage to the skin.
In such situations, using a sunscreen with SPF 30+ or higher is beneficial. Antioxidant serums like vitamin C and niacinamide, applied after cleansing at night, also help repair the skin. Avoid touching your face frequently and keep your skin hydrated by increasing your water intake.
